MLS 2024 | Parlay of the Weekend | Week 10

I have my eye on three highly valuable MLS games for Week 10. Both New York City FC vs Charlotte and Orlando City vs Toronto FC appear very one-sided, affording us the chance to take advantage of a couple of wide margins. Minnesota vs Sporting Kansas City should be a bit more competitive while offering a ton of scoring chances. Let’s dive into my best bets for this weekend in MLS, using odds from the top soccer betting sites.

New York City FC vs Charlotte FC Best Bet

New York FC Moneyline (-120) | BetMGM

New York FC has been one of the hottest teams at home this season. They remain undefeated in their last four games in the Big Apple, winning three and drawing once. Conversely, Charlotte has been one of the worst road teams in the league, losing three straight away from home. That includes their most recent defeat at the hands of the bottom-feeding New England Revolution, currently in last place in the conference. With one of the worst expected goal rates away from home, expect Charlotte to struggle finding legitimate chances against a stout NYFC defense. BetMGM is still offering juicy odds of -120 in what should be a lopsided affair.

Toronto FC vs Orlando City Best Bet

Orlando City Halftime/Full Time (+120) | BetMGM

Don’t let the standings fool you. Toronto FC may sit slightly ahead of Orlando City in the Eastern Conference, but this will be a tough matchup for the Canadian side. Most of the top sports betting sites such as Caesars Sportsbook and DraftKings, don’t seem to have taken into account the non-MLS games on Toronto’s schedule. Just three days before the team’s match on the road in Orlando, it will play most, if not all, of its starters against Rovers FC in the Canadian Championship. It therefore wouldn’t be the least bit surprising to see Toronto’s backups get the majority of minutes in Saturday’s game. Even if the normal starting 11 opens the match, expect many of its substitutes to enter by halftime.

I’ll happily take the plus-odds for Orlando to lead at the half and finish the game with a victory.

Minnesota United vs Sporting Kansas City Best Bet

Over 2.5 Goals (-165) | BetMGM

Minnesota has looked formidable on offense in the early going this season. Its 14 points are good enough for 5th place in the West thanks to 13 goals through eight matches. Sporting KC has been an offensive juggernaut in its own right as well. Often dubbed a defensive-minded side, SKC has dispelled that notion with 17 goals to its name. Of course, Peter Vermes’ squad would find itself higher on the table were it not for the 16 goals it has conceded. At least we can use its lack of defense to our betting advantage by backing the goals to pour in. Give me -165 odds for at least three combined goals in this one.
