The MLB playoffs are officially here, so now is the time to get your bets in on the winner. We have a loaded field in both leagues, but there are three teams that stand out to us this postseason.

Below we will share our three favorite bets to win the 2023 World Series. We will give you the odds and insights you need to win big at MLB betting sites this season.

Atlanta Braves – The Odds-on Favorite

Odds to win the World Series: +310 at DraftKings Sportsbook

Atlanta has looked like the best team in baseball in 2023. They feature a talented young pitching staff and the best lineup in baseball. The Braves have five players who hit more than 30 home runs this season, including the league leader, Matt Olson (54 HR). That led them to finish with a 104-58 record, which was the best in the league.

One big reason to bet the Braves is Ronald Acuna Jr. The soon to be named MVP led the league in stolen bases (73) while ranking second in batting average (.337), fifth in home runs (41), eighth in RBIs (106), and third in OPS (1.012). He is the most dangerous offensive player in the league, and he is well protected in this loaded Atlanta lineup.

The Braves lost veteran Charlie Morton to injury, meaning they will be relying on a pair of 24-year-olds in Bryce Elder and Spencer Strider. While they are inexperienced, both have been pitching at a high level in 2023. They will be joined by Max Fried, who will be returning from the IL for the NLDS. That is a fantastic 1-2-3 punch, and should land them in the World Series.

Houston Astros – The Most Popular Bet

Odds to win the World Series: +450 at FanDuel Sportsbook

The Astros haven’t looked like the best team in baseball for most of the season, but they have far more experience than the rest of the field. The Astros’ are the reigning World Series champions, and they have made the league’s final series in four of the last six seasons. That experience is invaluable in October, and it could boost them to another World Series title.

One big reason we like this bet is Jose Altuve is once again playing like an MVP. Though he missed much of the year with injury, Altuve has been on fire over the last three months. The second baseman has been on the Astros for all four of their World Series appearances, and now he is getting hot just in time for another run.

The X-factor for Houston will be Kyle Tucker. The outfielder was playing at an MVP level this summer but cooled off over the last month. The Astros have two MVP-caliber players in Yordan Alvarez and Alutve, and are near unstoppable when all three are playing well. Tucker has shown how good he can be, making this a great bet at FanDuel’s current price of +450.

Baltimore Orioles – The Best Longshot Bet

Odds to win the World Series: +600 at BetMGM Sportsbook

We absolutely love the Orioles at their current price. The team has been dominant in 2023 as their years of rebuilding has finally begun to pay off. While they lack the playoff experience of their rivals, they did manage to win an AL East division that was by far the best in baseball. That means this team is battle tested and won’t buckle under the pressure of October baseball.

While Baltimore may lack the household names of the other two teams on this list, they have some of the best young players in the league. They lack a true power hitter, but they lead the league in batting average with runners in scoring position (.287). That is a vital stat in the postseason, and it could help navigate the Orioles to their first World Series title since 1983.

The Orioles say Kyle Bradish step up to become their ace, which is a big reason they have found success. The staff doesn’t have playoff success, but have been getting better as the season progresses. Their ERA since the All-Star break dropped from 4.15 to 3.58, while their opponent batting average dipped by 22 points. That is serious momentum that may land them a World Series title.
