This may be the best futures bet currently on the board for the MLB. The division has two of the league’s top teams in the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles, both of whom own better records than the Dodgers.
The Orioles are young, but they have a ton of young stars. Gunnar Henderson is playing at an MVP level at just 22-years-old, while second-year catcher Adley Rutschman is right behind him. The lead a lineup that has four players with 10+ home runs this season, giving them a solid balance between average and power.
Baltimore also has an improved rotation thanks to newcome Corbin Burnes. The former Cy young winner is 7-2 with a 2.08 ERA, serving as the team’s ace in front of Grayson Rodriguez and Cole Irvin. Combine that with their impressive back end of the bullpen, and you can see why we are believers in this Baltimore team.
In addition to the Orioles, a bet on the AL East also gives you the New York Yankees. The Bronx Bombers have the best record in all of baseball, thanks in part to the addition of Juan Soto. The former Padres gives the team a key bat that they have been missing, teaming up with a red-hot Aaron Judge to give New York one of the league’s best lineups.
While the Yankee lineup is getting all the headlines, their starting rotation has been just as good. Carlos Rodon and Marcus Stroman both own ERAs below 2.90, while Luis Gil has broken out to go 8-1 with a 2.04 ERA.
While we don’t know who will win the World Series, we are confident betting on them to come out of the AL East.
