Members of Penn Entertainment, Las Vegas Sands, Caesars, and Wynn were all named four of the most overpaid members of the gaming industry. Penn Entertainment CEO Jay A. Snowden had the highest ranking of the bunch (third) and was paid just under $66 million, compared to average employee salaries of $33,930.

Ronnie Rivers, 24, won $514,837 playing three-card poker while in town to celebrate his and his mother’s birthday. Local television station KTNV reported that Rivers produced a royal flush between his three cards and the dealer's three cards to secure the “Mega Progressive Jackpot.”

New RICO Suit Against Wynn Resorts Owner Steve Wynn Dropped in Court

In June 2019, the Garden State of New Jersey overtook Nevada in terms of both handle and revenue, and it’s been widening ever since. From May 2019 to August 2019, New Jersey’s sportsbooks beat out Nevada sportsbooks in three of four of those months. In August 2019 alone, New Jersey’s sportsbooks took in $293.5 million in bets, and $25.5 million in revenue, beating up on Nevada’s $288 million and $18.7 million respectively.
