The group of policymakers has proposed a bill that would allow sports betting and poker in Oahu, the most-populated Hawaiian island, but bans the top operators in the industry from joining the market. This means that FanDuel, DraftKings, and other gambling giants would be locked out.

The lawsuit was levied by Angelica Limcaco, an ex-salon manager at Wynn Las Vegas. She previously sued him in 2018 for alleged sexual harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. The 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals ultimately rejected the woman’s case.

While live on The Bernie Kosar Show With Hanford Dixon last week, Kosar said that he was betting $19,000 on the Browns to beat their AFC North rivals, the Steelers. The former national champion at the University of Miami wore #19 during his playing days.

Sen. Tony Luetkemeyer (R-MO) has already pre-filed Senate Bill (SB) 30, which he says would create $10-20 million in funding for Missouri schools through the legalization of sports betting. Several other policymakers are backing the effort as Missouri looks to join six of its eight neighboring states.

Democratic Senator Carol Alvarado has created a proposal, known as Senate Joint Resolution 17, which calls for citizens to vote on the future of both casinos and brick-and-mortar sports betting facilities. She has introduced similar plans off and on since 2009 and is renewing her commitment on the back of recent expansions in the gambling community.

The launch of the market represents a new era for Ohio, which joins a rapidly growing Midwest segment of the American sports betting community. With Rose as the posterboy, the stories already look like they were written in Hollywood.

Caesars joins WynnBet and BetMGM in the list of companies with access to the soon-to-open Massachusetts market through partnerships with local casinos. Both Caesars and WynnBet received permission to join the market through arrangements with Encore Boston Harbor in Everett.

The state’s regulations prohibited sportsbooks from collecting wagers online before the November 23 deadline. According to the Maryland State Lottery & Gaming Control Agency, BetMGM failed to respect those rules and was subsequently punished with a hefty fine.

Monday’s meeting was the second time the regulator had been over the casino’s Category 1 license application. They previously expressed frustration with how closely the application was linked to that of its mobile betting partner, BetMGM, but this time awarded the license.

Perry’s newfound support for sports betting is a surprise to those who kept up with his political career. The longtime servant to Texans voted against gambling expansion in 1986 and expressed anti-gambling sentiments in a letter to Congress in 2014.
