The Ohio Casino Control Commission (OCCC) revealed the final figures Tuesday. In addition to the massive handle, sportsbooks combined to earn $208.9 million in revenue. The 16 online operators produced $205 million of that total, compared to $3.2 million in revenue at 14 local sportsbooks.

State constitutional amendments require the aforementioned two-thirds vote. However, the officials in question are pushing bills in both chambers of congress that would create a legal sports betting market by statute. This only requires a majority vote instead of the full two-thirds support.

More importantly—for sportsbooks, at least—Philadelphia’s home state of Pennsylvania has legal sports betting, while nearby Kansas also accepts legal wagers.
